SEAN GINNELLY
Longtime presenter of Chicago's "Good Morning Ireland" Radio Show, Sean Ginnelly returned to Ireland during the pandemic and founded Global Irish Radio - GIR.ie
GIR.ie was borne out of Ginnelly's own experience, when the AM station carrying his program went dark in 2019.
"It got me thinking about the future" says Ginnelly who went on to create the online platform for Irish diaspora serving radio programs.
GIR.ie currently has programs from Chicago, New York, Boston, Toronto, London, Ireland and continues to add new programs.
"AM Radio is obsolete and I like to think of GIR.ie as the afterlife for programs, who's AM stations have gone dark" says Ginnelly.
